Tasting Notes
Dark purple in color, this Cabernet Sauvignon shows indulgent aromas of sweet leather, black raspberry, Italian roast coffee and blackberry cobbler spiked with thyme. The flavors on the palate are layered with dark chocolate, espresso, black currants, boysenberry and dried cherry. Notes of dark blackberry and mocha round out the long satisfying finish.

Winemaker Notes
The culmination of an exceptional harvest producing a number of high quality lots, this Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon was sourced from three distinct appellation sources. Alexander Valley, the backbone of this wine, provided dark concentrated fruit and hints of red soil terroir. Sonoma Valley, specifically Two Dog Vineyards which sits above the town of Kenwood, added a substantial amount of power and depth. Lastly, Lodi rounded out the blend providing fruit driven Cabernet Sauvignon and Petite Sirah. These three lots combined produced a blend with an exceptional amount of depth and concentrated flavors. A blend that will undoubtedly age gracefully for the next five to eight years but is still very approachable in its youth.

Food Pairings
Pair with a flatiron steak topped with herb butter alongside a creamy potato gratin or a smoked pork chop with a side of brocollini and wild rice. For dessert, pair with Mounds or an Almond Joy candy bar as the chocolate and coconut nuances go exceptionally well together.
